Cancel Culture in the Conservative Party

Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole just kicked a sitting Senator out of national caucus for daring to represent the voice of CPC party members above that of the party’s elite.

Meanwhile, O’Toole has flip flopped on major Conservative policies and values and needs to give an answer to CPC members as to why he should remain as leader and lead the party into another election (just like all previous leaders who failed to win an election).

This is why Saskatchewan Senator Denise Batters launched a petition for members of the Conservative Party of Canada to review O’Toole’s leadership in the next six months before the Conservative Party’s 2023 Convention.

If Erin O’Toole is so confident in his leadership and the work his team has done thus far, he should be welcoming a review not trying to prohibit!

If this is how O’Toole feels about a sitting Senator raising the concerns of party members, then we can assume just how he also feels towards Party members with these concerns!

We know this truth, we can judge a tree by its fruit and Erin O'Toole is no leader.

In a statement released by O’Toole on the matter, he said, “As the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, I will not tolerate an individual discrediting and showing a clear lack of respect towards the efforts of the entire Conservative caucus, who are holding the corrupt and disastrous Trudeau government to account”. As someone who has worked in government, I can confidently say, this statement by O'Toole is clearly a diversion tactic.

Listen to Senator Batters' interview with journalist Andrew Lawton of True North HERE.

Senator Don Plett tweeted in support of O'Toole and, essentially, against the voices and rights of the CPC's membership.

The only thing “strong and principled” about Erin O’Toole are his Liberal like actions.

Erin O’Toole has several policy positions which completely align with Trudeau, positions which directly affect the family in very negative ways.

O'Toole's inability to differentiate from Trudeau this past election is what ultimately cost Canadians the election.

Here are just a few policies O'Toole and Trudeau see eye to eye on:

  • Vaccine mandates
  • Denying the conscience rights of medical professionals
  • Implementing inefficient and unsustainable carbon taxes
  • Adopting United Nations policies that undermine national sovereignty
  • In favour of funding abortion overseas with Canadian taxpayers money
  • In favour of upholding equalization payments
  • Has no clear path towards deficit financing

The members of the Conservative Party have every right to have their voices heard! VoteFamily is deeply concerned with the CPC's current censorship and cancelling of its Members by its leadership.
